Confessional Friday...

Today I'm linking up with A Blonde Ambition (if you haven't checked out her blog, you should.  You'll L.O.V.E. her.) to share some confessions.

1.  I was about THISCLOSE to scarfing down a buttermilk donut and kolache when I got into work this morning (why, oh why, does my firm seek to torture me with delicious goodies every Friday?) but I miraculously resisted temptation.  I just thought about summer and pretty sundresses and bathing suits, and my craving vanished almost immediately.  How about that?

2.  I realized yesterday that I always do this really weird thing with my gum.  I flatten it out into a long, thin strip, and then roll it up like a snail.  Then I smash it down and start all over.  Does that make me crazy?

3.  I had a mini-meltdown on the way home from work yesterday when I thought about what Micah and I are going to do about childcare when we have kids.  Every time I start to think about logistics and work and the commute, I start to panic.  And then God reminds me that He is faithful and that it will all work out.  Then my heartrate slows down again.  At least for a little while.

4.  I was entirely too excited to watch the mid-season premieres of Vampire Diaries, Grey's, and Private Practice last night.  No matter how I try, I just can't quit them.

5.  I accidentally skipped Day 4 of the Photo A Day Challenge for this month.

After googling "Letterbox" like a champ (apparently it's a mailbox?), I realized that the sun had already gone down and that any picture I took would be crappy anyway, so I'll just cheat and take one this weekend.  Don't tell! ;) (Although I'm fairly convinced that I don't actually have to take the pictures in order anyway, but the rule-follower in me can't resist.)

6.  Did anyone else tune in for the hot mess that was The Bachelor premiere on Monday?  This poor, poor girl...
I think her name is Jenna?  She's apparently a blogger, and I really wanted to like her, but then she proceeded to get rip-roaring drunk, cry in the bathroom for most of the cocktail party, and engage in a strange, monologue-esque rant about love and life and whatever else her poor drunk little heart was crying about.  I say it every season, but I have NO idea why I'm watching.  I guess it's the hopeless romantic in me that harbors a hope that this will be the season where it actually works out.  Wishful thinking, I'm afraid.

7.  We don't have a lot going on this weekend, and I'm thrilled.  Just some time with the fam, and maybe I'll make Micah take me out on the boat for the fishing trip I promised him during the Christmas Countdown.  And I've got a hot date with my Kindle to finish up the Game of Thrones books.  Other than that, I'm seeing quite a bit of cuddling with Micah in my future.  I've got to head back to New Orleans next week, and I'm bummed about leaving him.

And that's about it!  Hope you guys have a wonderful Friday! :)

Nope, you're not a freak. I do the same thing with my gum.

Ughhhhhh I am SO over Grey's but I feel like I have to finish it to it's entirety. I LOVE Private Practice though!!!

I haven't had time to watch The Bachelor yet, but I will. I hate that I love it. It's my guilty pleasure.

Yes, Alyssa - it's the drama that hooks me every time. :)

Welcome to the Vampire Diaries craziness, Bailey!

That sounds so fun, Brandi! And I definitely think this season will be interesting.

Thanks for that, Katy. I don't feel quite so crazy now. :)
