I am so, so sorry that I missed celebrating Thankful Thursdays with you yesterday. I'm fairly certain I haven't missed a Thursday since I started doing them, but yesterday was... trying.
I woke up yesterday morning and thought I was miscarrying.
After I finally got a hold of my doctor's office (they didn't open until 45 minutes after I woke up... worst 45 minutes of my life), the nurse told me that she didn't think what I was describing was caused by a miscarriage. But since I was supposed to leave yesterday morning for trial for two weeks, she thought it'd be good for me to come in and ease my mind that everything was fine.
So the doctor on-call (my doctor doesn't work on Thursdays) squeezed me in, and I drove to Dallas at a ridiculous speed. I didn't have to wait long until they took me back to the sonogram room.
Y'all, I cannot describe how beautiful the sound of our baby's heartbeat was as I lay there, tears pouring down my face.
The little pumpkin kept bouncing around everywhere, so it was hard at first to get a clear picture of everything, but the doctor checked every teeny, tiny part to make sure it was okay. Bottom line, our little angel is perfect so far. Developing wonderfully and obviously very active. :) Apparently I just have an irritated cervix that might cause some light bleeding throughout the pregnancy (oh, joy) and I shouldn't worry about it.
As soon as I got the okay from the doctor, I headed out of town for trial and will be here for two weeks. It was a long day, and it will definitely be a long two weeks, so don't hate me if I can't check in as often as I'd like. But I'm thinking of you guys and trying to keep up with blog reading when I can. I don't want to miss what you girls are up to! :)

Oh my goodness! That happened to me on Wednesday. I was spotting and they couldn't get me in until the afternoon. It was horrible. I am so sorry that you experienced that and I am so glad that the baby is perfect!
Oh Ryan I am so glad you both are OK. I'm sure this will be a long two weeks... I am praying that it flies by and that you even get some peaceful downtime in there as well (is that even possible in your line of work?) Don't you worry about the blog, we will all be here when you return! :)
