It's raining in Dallas today.
I usually adore the rain. But as I was carrying Grace (in her ridiculously heavy carrier) into daycare this morning, I slipped on (in?) a puddle and broke my shoe. I kept right on walking and went through the whole sign-in process (in her brand new classroom with teachers I hadn't yet met) with one shoe and wet hair.
I am officially shameless. And, for today only, I officially hate the rain.
I am, however, in love with this video of a three-year-old's hilarious conversation with himself. "Chocolate things... chocolate thingies. More chocolate thingies. GUMMIES!"
I've started using Wen. I wouldn't normally buy something off the television (although I have been sucked in a time or two...), but one of my faves, Cara, gave it a rave review, so I thought I'd at least give it a try. So far? I'm in love...
One of our favorite Mexican restaurants near the house apparently closed, and I'm more than a little bummed about it. Their queso was so good I could cry...
Do people up north call cheese dip queso? Or is that just a Tex-Mex thing?
This week is going to be insane, so it may be a teensy bit quiet around here. I'm usually pretty good with Instagram, though, so feel free to come say hello there! (@MrsHargrave)

Broken shoes are the worst. I've taught in one shoes before.
As fellow Dallas girl i am thrilled about the rain but i'm sorry about your shoe. My hair is also so huge and frizzy but its worth it.
Mexican food is my favorite! When we rodeo up in the NW they hardly ever have queso and when you ask they never know what you are talking about....Texas has the best Mexican food for sure!!!
1. Lilly is so heavy in her carrier too. I am actually thinking about switching to the next carseat because it's getting really hard to lift her in and out of the car. And don't even talk about the walk to the house from the car!
2. We call it queso here in Indiana! :)
Have a great week girl!
bummer about your shoe and the rain!!! hope your day is better
I'm int he northeast and we do not say queso. ha!!
I've heard that the WEN products are wonderful for thick and dry hair. And I'm proud of you for not stopping in your tracks yesterday and just falling to the floor crying, because we all know that's what I would have done! Ha!
Oh boy. My shoe broke last week at work, and I was so annoyed. I feel ya, friend.
Can the Wen cleanser remove silicones or did you have to stop using your kerastase styling products?? When we lived in Chicago we could only find one Mexican restaurant in town that even served queso (or anything resembling it!). It was actually a restaurant out of Dallas so it figures!
it rained all week here. I'm not a rain hater really either, but I'm over it. I would be fine if I could just cuddle up and snuggle all day, but when you have a ton of crap to do rain can def. bring you a little bit down!
