The tomb was empty...

I should be studying for Trusts and Wills right now.  I'm at school, in the middle of a four-hour break between classes - sounds like perfect study time, right?

In theory, it is.  And, in fact, I actually do really well at keeping up with one of my classes.  But for some reason, Trusts and Wills always becomes the redheaded step-child I just don't want to deal with, and I bury myself in other things.

So today, like other days, my thoughts have been otherwise occupied.  And maybe it's because it's Easter week or because I heard an excellent sermon at church yesterday, but these four words keep running through my head.

The tomb was empty.

Jesus wasn't bound by his death.  He rose again.

He rose again!

What a day that must have been.  For the soldiers, who guarded the tomb and watched the stone roll away and angels descend from heaven!

For Mary and Mary Magdelene, who found Him missing and trembled in fear.

For His grief-stricken disciples, who were mourning their teacher, but heard of His victorious triumph over death!

And for me.  Because, over two thousand years later, I can believe in a God who lives

Can I get an "Amen!" :)
