Things I don't like to have to tell you...

I love sharing things with you here, friends. You really can't know what it means to me to be able to unload our lives here with you and to have you all cheer us on, every step of the way. And usually when I have something to share, I can't help but rush to my laptop and get a post up for you.

The past week has been different, because I've been dreading sharing this with you.  I had hoped that we'd get different news on Friday.  But we didn't.

My sweet Mimi, my mom's mom, has lung cancer.

After an ER doctor indicated his belief a couple of weeks ago that she had a cancerous tumor on her lung, her pulmonologist confirmed.  They're doing a biopsy this week to see what they're dealing with, and they'll hopefully develop a game plan after that.

If I can, I would just ask for your prayers.  She's tough and handling the news incredibly well, but this road is difficult for even the strongest and most faithful people.  She reads my blog faithfully, so I know any kind words would be very much appreciated by her.

Love you, Mimi!  We're all praying faithfully for a quick recovery.

Saying a prayer for your family, Ryan...

I know what you mean about keeping the "not good" stuff off the blog. I think we all keep more off-line than we think.

I'm so sorry to hear that Ryan! You will both be in my prayers. I did want to share that my grandmother had lung cancer 15 years ago and has been in remission for 14 after successful treatment!

Awe Ryan! I'm praying for you and your family to find the strength to pull through this rough spot. You know that God is on your side. You are a Godly woman and I am sure that you get it from your Godly family. Isaiah 41:10
Mimi, I know you are just begining this journey and will overcome this quickly. Psalm 119:28 & Psalm 27:1 are two scriptures that come to mind for you. I pray that God heals you.

Hey sweet girl. I'm just now catching up and blogs...and just seeing this. My stepfather has lung cancer right now (diagnosed last August). It's just an awful disease (well all cancer is...) I will definitely be praying for y'all. If you ever need to chat...you know where to find me!

And...I completely know what you mean about what to share on the blog. I just posted a whole ramble about not knowing what to post as I deal with this disease in our family. Hugs and prayers to y'all!!!
