Bed rest...

At our 37-week appointment today, the doctor found a little protein in my urine (TMI, I know...).  So because of that, in combination with my out-of-control swelling, she's putting me on bedrest for a few days while we wait on labs to see if I have pre-eclampsia, even though my blood pressure is normal.

I also have to pee in a jug for 24 hours so she can get a more accurate protein reading.  Ick.

Thankfully I'm far enough along that if they had to induce immediately, we're still full-term and she'll be ready for the world, but I'd obviously rather do without the pre-eclampsia. :)

So, if you guys have a minute, would you mind saying a little prayer for me and our little princess?

I'll keep you guys updated.  In the meantime, I'm obviously going to need some entertainment.  Any books/movies/TV series I absolutely must try?

Yuck! Not fun. But take this time to rest and let that princess have a little more beauty sleep! I love Monday Mornings on TNT, one of my new favorite shows! (If you life medical dramas!)

Oh no! This is not good. Prayers going up right now for you. And please.. as a lawyer to a lawyer, don't read in your off time. Just watch mindless TV! The Voice is a favorite of mine right now. Best of luck, lady!

Praying for you! Bed Rest is one of my biggest fears, especially in the last weeks of pregnancy when I feel like my to do list is getting jam packed instead of shrinking =/ Wishing you the best!

Praying for you and your little girl! We had to do the 24hr urine collection twice during my pregnancy, so I know that it is not fun at all! Try and rest at home, lay on your left side as much as possible :) It's good that your BP is good though, that's a positive! Keep us updated!

I completely know where you are! I had to go through that same set of events with my sweet angel. Prop your feet up high to help with the swelling and take it easy. Enjoy watching all the movies/TV and reading that you want while you can! Bed rest helped me get to 39 weeks when my BP spiked and she had to come out. I feel like I know you from your blog and I just think your sweet family is precious! I'll be praying over you and little Grace (and Micah's patience and nerves as well).
